IMPORTANT!Each teacher is responsible for hanging and taking down their own artwork. If you are unable to do this, you cannot participate unless you partner up with someone else for set up and take down. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! We need volunteers for the following jobs:
Moving panels from the barn to the mall on Sunday, March 5th
A truck for transportation of panels
Help unloading panels to the display area in the mall on Sunday, March 5th
BRING THE FOLLOWING ON SUNDAY, MARCH 4TH:
DUES – $15 (if you have not yet paid) Checks can be made payable to Art in the Heart.
SIGN – To hang on the panel with your name and the name(s) of your school(s); no larger than 9x12
READY TO HANG, LABELED STUDENT ARTWORK SIZE OF YOUR SPACE:
Approximately 47.5’ x 69.5” high (remember you lose a little space because of the feet that support the boards). Each teacher gets one side of the panel.
HELPFUL HINT: Before the exhibit, measure out a 47.5”x69.5” section of the floor or table to arrange student artwork you want to show. Make a diagram (or take a picture on your phone) so that when you arrive at the mall, you can quickly hang up the work. It’s always a good idea to bring along a few extra pieces just in case.
LABEL EACH ARTWORK AS FOLLOWS: LABELS can be printed from the third page of THIS DOCUMENT.
In the lower right corner on the front of each work, place a white label with the student’s name and grade level. HERE (third page) is a sheet of labels to attach to the back of each work. We have also provided a student certificate or you may use one of your own. Artwork needs to be securely matted or mounted—no glass, frames, or 3D work. *If your students are concerned about damage or theft an alternative could be to scan and display a print of the original artwork.
STAPLING: We will provide staplers and staples (1/4”) to avoid problems in the past. It is especially handy to bring pliers or a staple remover for take down.
Artwork Take-Down:
Sunday, March 26th (9:30am-10:30am; Please arrive by 10am)
IMPORTANT!Each teacher is responsible for hanging and taking down their own artwork. If you are unable to do this, you cannot participate unless you partner up with someone else for set up and take down.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! We need volunteers for the following job: Loading panels from the display area to the new storage area March 26th
