In celebration of Youth Art Month, join us for a Trading Card Art Adventure to connect with schools, community organizations, and artists across Maine. Local participation will take place during Open Studios for the entire month of March and will transform the studio into a public space for both making and trading artist trading cards.
Our exchange area will be posted in the front window of the ArtLab and will also serve as an ever-evolving display of participant creations on the theme Dream in Art.
Open Studio/Exhibition Dates:
March 1st - March 30th ArtLab | Free, drop-in during open hours
Participate in our 2024 Youth Art Month celebration through the creative art practice of trading cards. In past years, CMCA Education Program has facilitated an extensive postcard art exchange between artists, schools, and community organizations. This year, we have switched our focus to help institutions develop an art exchange practice internally through the use of artist trading cards. We encourage participants that the project will have a longer lasting impact on these institutions as there is the potential to continue the practice beyond Youth Art Month.
